Okay.. it's that time of year again. When you know that certain friends of yours have a difference of opinion when it comes to their choice of a president. They listen to their spin TV news and I listen to mine. We've made the decision to, for the sake of our friendship to not discuss such things. But every now and then the subject comes up. Through no fault of any ones, we just both enjoy talking politics, but we are also fired up about our own positions. Recently this such thing happened when the conversation turned political and at the time I didn't have the facts to back up my argument even though I knew what was being said was untrue, so just so it's out there
Obama will give a tax break to people that make $150,000 or less a year
Obama will increase taxes on people that make $250,000 a year or more
Obama will NOT increase nor decrease taxes on people making between the two.
SO there you have it. I can now feel satisfied that I have not broken my own oath to NOT TALK POLITICS with certain friends but also feel content in knowing that I have done my own part to put the truth out there if only to ease this feeling I have of picking up the phone and saying.. "Well that information was wrong... BLAH BLAH BLAH"....I shall refrain. I shall refrain from doing so for the sake of my friendship.

OBAMA BIDEN ticket.!
Yeah, I'm pleased with the choice of Biden for Barack's VP selection. I liked his answers in the debates. I remember telling Brian early on I liked him. Anyway, I'm sure there are a lot of disappointed Hillary supporters out there but I hope that they accept Biden and realize that Biden is the best CHOICE for Barack. He has a lot of Foreign affairs experience. A "weakness" of Barack's according to critics. SO Joe Biden should hopefully HELP Barack become our new PRESIDENT! I HOPE! Fingers crossed. :)

a "sorta" Political BLOG
Well I realized that I haven't mentioned the "Scum-bucket" John Edwards since his affair was reported. As anyone who has read my blog for awhile knows... I really liked John Edwards, in fact he was my first choice candidate before Barack Obama. I am so angry at him and I'm not even his wife. I can't imagine her anger. Here she is battling this cancer and going thru this life and death fight and here is her husband out fooling around. What a scumbag!! I have to tell you, Elizabeth is a bigger person then me, (if it's true as reported, she's forgiven him) because I would have left his sorry ass. I realize that, that is easy for me to say but still. I think that the fact he cheated on his wife while she had cancer just makes it more despicable. But moving on.... I'm disappointed big time with the latest polls, some showing McCain ahead and some showing McCain catching up. I think we need a change and no offense but I don't see how voting for McCain will change much. That of course is just my take, but hey, this is my blog so you get my opinion. I'm kinda sick of "OLD men running our government" the way they want. My hope is that a younger guy will really listen to what it is our citizens want or need. That he will make bold "intelligent" changes and have less fear. I don't really have a problem with McCain as a patriot or a person but if you want to get technical his morals are NOT perfect.... he cheated on his first wife and in fact married Cindy only shortly after his divorce from wife #1 was finalized.
So...... all those religious fanatics out there take note. SIN SIN SIN..... I'm just sayin'. But whatever. I'm not sure it matters, but I do think the same people who are still talking about what Obama's Reverend did should be as concerned with the fact that John McCain broke a commandment. It makes me so upset all this bullshit, and don't even get me started on these political ads.. The 1/2 truths, the fact stretching, the out and out lies, etc. I've seen more from John McCain then I have from Barack Obama but I'm not keeping score... it's all wrong. For Instance I saw an ad that said, Obama voted to raise taxes on people that make just $42,000 a year when the truth is..... (according to fact check.org)
A TV spot claims Obama once voted for a tax increase "on people making just $42,000 a year." That's true for a single taxpayer, who would have seen a tax increase of $15 for the year – if the measure had been enacted. But the ad shows a woman with two children, and as a single mother, she would not have been affected unless she made more than $62,150. The increase that Obama once supported as part of a Democratic budget bill is not part of his current tax plan anyway.
So there you have it.. The truth. My hope is that all people INVESTIGATE these claims the candidates make. They are only about 1/2 true, I realize it's not just McCain. I know Obama has done it as well (just to be fair)...
The Obama ad also expands upon a misleading claim we've written about before. It says that McCain supports "billions in tax breaks for big oil and drug companies." (Last week, the claim was only about oil companies.) Either way, McCain's proposal is actually to lower the corporate tax rate for all companies, not just those in unpopular industries.
SO please please before you believe it check it out!! Know the truth! Get the FACTs.... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE before you vote!!
Okay... this wasn't "sorta" a political blog it was a political blog but I didn't expect to go off like that. It just happens! :)

A Personality DUD
Okay... So I know this is my third blog today but what can I say I'm in the mood to write. Plus I have been thinking about writing a blog about this for awhile. You know those commercials for EHARMONY and Match.com and the likes. Well I was wondering if I did one of those Personality Profiles would I seem like a complete loser. I mean I worry about EVERYTHING and I don't fly by the seat of my pants, I don't really care for adventure... or everything else you see on those commercials. I wonder just what kind of person I would look like on paper. I wonder what If I was honest about all my eccentricities on paper/ or computer what type of person I would look like to someone. NOT THAT I'M LOOKING.... Luckily I found someone who can look past some of my issues and just deal with the rest, plus whom I happen to LOVE a lot! But I am curious about what my profile would look like, would I type in all the answers to the questions read them back to myself and think.... GOD, who could possibly see this profile and want this?

Back from camping
Hello, So we just got home from camping last night. We went Sunday, Monday and Tuesday night-- we were soppose to leave this morning but we ended up leaving last night. We had fun, although it was a little disappoiting because we went to the same one we went to last time. It's the Jellystone Park in Elmer. And apparently they were short staffed becuase we did NOT see any of the Characters. Usually Yogi and BOO BOO Bear are around and you can take a train ride with them thru the park and things like that. But we didn't see one bear the whole time. Finally yesterday I asked if the bears were hypernating on Sun- Tues and was explained that they are short staffed this week. Since that was one of the things that EMily was really looking forward to it was a big disappointment. Also the fact that Brian had to work so for most of the trip it was just Emily and I. We had fun moments and great weather and I'm glad we went because Emily really wanted to go and I think she had fun even with the few setbacks. I also think it was good for Emily to get away from the computer--- she's seriously getting addicted to it! I wonder who she gets that from. :) LOL. Anyway, it was good for her to get out in nature a little bit. Also we had 2 great days in the pool. Although EMily has rediscovered a fear of the water so she was like a Octopus on me the whole time. She held on to my neck so tight I thought she was going to choke me. Saying "don't let me go" the whole time. I kept promising her I would never let her go but she must not have beleived me because she just kept saying it. But even so, we still had fun and by the end of the 2nd day in the pool she was a little bit better. The pool was only 3 ft deep and I was trying to explain to her that she could stand up in it and also she HAD on swimmy arms but that didn't seem to release any of her fears. Finally she stood up for 10 seconds and was very proud of her self as was I-- it had been a looooonnnng time even getting her to do that. So then we got out and got Ice Cream. So all in all it was a good time but I was exhausted when I got home last night. 2 1/2 days camping felt like a whole week. I didn't sleep well either. NOr did EMily for that matter. We had a cabin, thank god, but still on Sunday night Emily fell out of her bed twice hard and so on Monday she slept with me. For being such a little kid--- she sure takes up ALOT of room. Plus like me she wiggles alot so it did not make for very effective sleep for either of us. Anyway, I'm glad we went and I'm glad we are home again. Anyway, we are trying to get some stuff done around the home. My brother Fernando is a big help with that. He's out mowing and trimming up the grass right now. Thank GOD for him! He helps out a lot around here. My Mother-in-Law is visiting us on Saturday for the night and then for a couple days later in the next two/three weeks she has planned a trip visiting our area but also with two different trips to NY and to Rehobeth Beach mixed in as well. So she'll be a very busy lady!! I'm glad she's coming, and Emily is over the moon about it. SHE LOVES WHEN GRANDMA VISITS!! She gets so excited! So it's really nice. But anyway, we had to move the tread mill from the guest room to our room so that it wasnt in the way for our guest. Brian and Fernando did that while I was gone. We TRIED to go bowling today. I say tried because Danielle got a flat while we were heading there. We tried changing the tire and finally a fireman came and helped us. ANOTHER REASON TO LOVE THE FIRE DEPT. He was really nice and proved to be our knight in shining armor. We must have looked pathetic out there with the car manual and 3 kids. So, anyway needless to say we never got to bowling. We did however get a tire and go to lunch. SO it wasn't too bad, and we are gonna make up our bowling tomorrow. Anyway, I think I better go.. I need to make sure Emily isn't still on the other computer. LOL!

The Olympics
Hi, I've been trying to watch as much of the Olympics as I can. America seems to be doing really great. WOW... is all I can say about Michael Phelps. He's like a machine. I heard he signed up for extra testing just to proof to everyone that he is a "CLEAN ATHELETE". He gets tested more often and more thouroughly. I think that is a good thing but it's a sin that Olympic Athletes have that stigma because of a few. Anyway, I enjoy watching the Olympics. I always have. I remember pretending to be a gymnast and doing a floor exercise on my front lawn when I was a kid. Essentially all I could really do was cart wheels so it was a lot of cartwheels and arm raising and jumping around. I can't imagine what the neighbors thought. Ofcourse we were living on a dirt road and there weren't that many neighbors but still, if any of them caught a look at me, I'm sure it was a sight. I was not even a good cart wheeler, but oh well I was having fun. And I guess when you're a kid... you don't really care too much what the neighbors think. I was around 12 at the time. It was the 84 Olympics. I hadn't thought about that in a while. That was a nice memory. Not much else going on. We are going Camping this weekend. I hope the weather holds out for us. There is supposed to be some Thunder showers and such most of the time we are going. But oh well.. hopefully we can make the most of it and still enjoy ourselves. Peace Out

Sorry..........
I'm sorry to the people in my life that I take for granted. The things they do, the help they give and the support they provide me in my life. The times that I forget to say, Thank you. I hope that they can tell in my normal actions, that they are appreciated, loved and just mean everything to me. Because I'm not perfect... FAR FAR FAR from perfect. I fly off the handle, I yell when all I really need to do is talk with them. I'm so not perfect, and I sometimes preach to people as if I am. When I am so clearly flawed. As we are all. I usually blow up over something and then feel so guilty and remorseful and regretful-- and just feel like shit. It's hard to say I'm sorry or to admit that my actions can and do harm people. Deep down--- where it's the worst. I don't want to be that type of person---- one who is doing that to someone--- making them feel unappreciated. Trust me, I may not say it as often as I need to--- but you are appreciated, your acts are appreciated, and you are LOVED beyond belief.

JACK JOHNSON ROCKS!!!!!
Okay, We just got home. It's 12:37 am, IT WAS AWESOME! The best concert I have EVER been to. AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME!! And it had BIG shoes to fit because I was really looking forward to it, and we were there for almost 3 1/2 HOURS waiting for him to come on. Because it was General admission and the doors opened at 5, and we wanted good seats. So we got there about 5:30 and we got really good seats! We were pretty center and about 12 rows back, maybe closer! He sounded sooo good!! Brian really liked it too. He said it was in the top 5 concerts, he's ever attended and he's seen ALOT of concerts! It was a great night! We didn't sit once after Jack started performing! We danced, sang, clapped, hooted, hollered, and swayed to the music and it was thoroughly enjoyable! Plus Jack's kinda SEXY! So it was easy to stare at him for 2 hours!! Ha HA... I told Brian, I was gonna write how sexy I thought Jack was. So I pre-warned him. SO he can't be upset with me. LOL :) PEACE.
Concert Bound
Hello Folks, Or just myself.. Whichever the case may be. I'm getting ready to go see Jack Johnson in concert. I am really looking forward to it.. so I hope it doesn't blow. HA HA. Anyway, I'll write more about it... after I see it. I am addicted to ...! As if you could not tell. I find something very comforting about it, as if it's building...... Excitement. The more .... dots the more exciting........ Don't ya think? Peace

Bugging BUGS
Hi.. tried going outside with Emily. But it's so HOT and HUMID and BUGGY outside that we only managed to be out about 1/2 hour. Oh it was awful and there were so many mosquito's that it was really not fun. Oh well, we tried. Emily got to climb on this jungle gym thing we bought--- which I wish we would have bought like 2 years earlier because I think she's already outgrown it. Plus, it seems like it's really helped her with "feet off the ground" fear she has. But I'm not really upset because we got it on clearance for like $25- Can u believe it! It's one of those dome things and she really likes it-- but like I said I think she may have already outgrown it. The bigger ones I see are wayyyy more expensive. Oh well... have a nice day.

Splendor in the Grass
What though the radiance which was once so bright
Be now for ever taken from my sight,
Though nothing can bring back the hour
Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower;
We will grieve not, rather find
Strength in what remains behind...
A line from the William Wordsworth's poem "Ode on Intimations of Immortality" which the title of my favorite movie comes from.

Mary Poppins... Practically Perfect in every way!!
Well yesterday we went to Broadway and saw "Mary Poppins". It was AWESOME... I would highly recommend it to everyone!! LOVED IT! I was crying at the end.. I don't know why I guess when the father realizes he needs to put his family first!! It was sweet, I couldn't help myself. Danielle cried too. We had a really nice day in New York and Madeline was sooo good. She really was and it was a LOOONNNGGG day. We left at 9 am and didn't get home until 10 pm. She's only 5--- so that was a really long day and also she is usually in bed by 8. I think she had a really nice time. We ate at the "Stardust diner". Which was really fun. They have singing waitresses. It was so much fun, while we were there the song from Little Mermaid was being sung by one of the waitresses-- and then by a 5 year old little girl who was a customer got up and was singing with the waitress-- she was SOOOO good! We could not believe it!! I really wished Emily could have been there, and I missed her so much. But I really don't think Emily was ready for it--- not just yet. She's getting so much better but I think it would have all been a little too much for her. SO I think it was best, but I still missed her sooo much. Well, maybe next time we can all go. Oh yeah, and our seats were incredible. ALthough like Danielle said-- It really seemed like all the seat would have been good. But we were so close we really got to see the performers faces and expressions. We'll probably never be that close again. The tickets were really expensive so I'm glad that we really loved it! Anyway, then we walked around a little and got a little lost ( well really just mixed up ) trying to find the subway to take us back to Penn station. We thought it was on 7th street and it turned out to be on 8th st. SO that is why we got back a little later. We were hoping to be home by 9 but we got home at 10 instead. It really was a great day, so it was well worth it! Ofcourse now we want to see Little Mermaid! We've really started something!
